Social Studies - Study your DOG. I have been very disappointed in the DOG grades for the past several weeks. You must study!!!
We had a great time at the Art Institute today. We were able to see American Gothic by Grant Wood, Nighthawks by Edward Hopper, Sunday Afternoon on the Island of Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat, Waterlilies by Monet, Van Gogh's self-portrait and Chagall's stained glass windows. For many of the 5th Graders, the highlight of the day was the Thorne Rooms. The 68 rooms were absolutely fascinating and amazing to them! We received free passes to the Art Institute for all the 5th Graders. Look for the pass to be attached to the Friday newsletter!
I have attached a picture of 5-3 in front of the beautiful Chagall windows!!
